This year we have created a beautiful design inspired by the fantastic series Outlander, for those of you who haven’t yet treated yourself to watching this Scottish fantasy drama, it’s a wonderful series, full of intrigue, suspense, passion and romance! Set in truly stunning locations, many of which we can recognise as familiar settings around Scotland.

Highland Romance for Valentine’s Day

As professional florists it’s exciting to have the opportunity to draw creativity from the things that get us excited and inspired by! Our Limited Edition Bouquet, ‘Highland Romance’ exudes the passion of the people and subtle colours of Scotland, the deep velvet red of the luxury Grand Prix roses are complemented with the shades of the purples and greens replicated by the Limonium and Thalspi Green Bell. Of course, the inclusion of Thistles (Eryngiums) are paramount to the overall design.

As most of the first series of Outlander is based around 1743 in the middle of the Scottish rebellion against the British army. Following the series, passion runs deep throughout, the leading lady finds herself torn between the love of two men from different centuries.

The completion of the design is pulled together with the natural hessian material reminiscent of the era, romantic, rugged and passionate…. the perfect ‘Highland Romance’ for Valentine’s Day.
